September 1945, Tokyo. A troubled post-war process is underway. It is the extermination of the Variants, human weapons created by the notorious 731 Unit: remnants of the war which are to be shut down.
Yet a young immortal soldier girl, Saika, is determined to live and be free with the aid of Kankuro Konoe, a former combat medic, as her subordinate.
