After Sawato's grandmother passes away, he succeeds her as the chairman of a small, remote town. Constantly aware that he is not yet capable of the task and troubled by his inexperience, he seeks out solitude and comfort in the open air hot spring. However, Daiki, a potter from the city, relentlessly intrudes on Sawato's territory. Daiki is frivolous, shameless, and infuriating, yet Sawato can't quite bring himself to hate him…
