With or Without Me

Shouko's life is a mess. Her boyfriend's a cheater, a steady job is a phrase that isn't in her vocabulary, and at home, things aren't any better with her mom being so focused on her older brother that she might as well be nonexistant. However, her life takes a sudden turn when she bumps into an old friend from middle school. Her friend, Maki is now a popular mangaka, and when she's asked to help her out part-time as an assistant, she readily agrees. It is there at Maki's house, that she meets Hajime, a budding mangaka/assistant who also happens to be Maki's boyfriend. There's something about him that inextricably draws her to him…
