Dragon Quest - Land of Illusion

A trio of travelers walk to a cliff, where a young girl summons a dragon. They fly to the castle of Maou Mudo. When they reach the throne room, Mudo surprises them and seemingly kills the party. Botsu, the party leader, wakes up at home in the village of Lifecod. Was it really just a dream?
