The time is the end of the Meiji era, at a music school in the imperial capital of Tokyo. Kaga Nanao, who has come to Tokyo from Kanazawa, is reunited with Sagami Takenomaru, the "melodic noble" whom she has longed for. However, an unexpected fate awaits her there...
